Who Can Be Our Witnesses?
You need 2 people over 18 years of age to confirm/certify that the ceremony took place. and these two sign the marriage documents.
Who you choose is entirely up to you.
Do you have a PA and microphone?
Yes. I provide my PA and microphone for the ceremony. It has Bluetooth and USB capabilities to play music prior to, during, and after the ceremony.
Together, these items provide amazing sound quality to ensure that your guests will be able to hear every word of your ceremony.
Where will you marry people?
Wherever you want, just ask! I’m willing to travel anywhere.
What legal documents will we need to produce to get married?
Under the Marriage Act 1961 (the rules celebrants need to follow), you will need to produce the following as evidence of your identity and date and place of birth. Either
- a driver’s license + your birth certificate, or
- an Australian or overseas passport
If you have previously been married, you will also need to produce evidence of how your last marriage was terminated. This is either a death certificate, a divorce certificate, or a decree of nullity if your previous marriage was annulled.
When should we book our celebrant?
It’s important to book your key vendors upfront to ensure that you can secure people who fit your vibe and get what sort of wedding you are planning.
Look to lock in your celebrant as soon as you have locked in your venue and date..
What happens if you are sick on our wedding day?
I know a network of celebrant friends all across Victoria. If I were unable to make your wedding for whatever reason (and it would have to be a very good reason not to be there!), I would find another celebrant who could step in and deliver my ceremony.
Do you work with LGBTQIA+ couples?
It makes me sad that this is even a question that has to be asked. My answer is a 1000% YES!! I’m all for whoever wants to be married, no matter gender, beliefs, or sexuality. Inclusivity is a must and non-negotiable in my eyes.
